1. Service Description

LankaDu is a private tour vehicle service brand operated by a team of locally licensed drivers in Sri Lanka, dedicated to providing safe and reliable transportation experiences. All services are provided by locally licensed drivers. We are responsible for information verification, service coordination, and after-sales follow-up. No forced bundled consumption.

Drivers' primary responsibility is safe driving and itinerary coordination. If a driver voluntarily provides additional assistance such as attraction introductions during the trip, it is considered a friendly gesture and does not constitute a professional tour guide service commitment.

2. Booking & Confirmation

After users submit their travel needs via the website form, WeChat, or official email, the platform will respond and confirm the vehicle, driver, and itinerary within 48 hours. In case of local public holidays, extreme weather, or network failures, the response time may be extended, and we will do our best to notify you in advance.

The booking is confirmed only after mutual communication and agreement. The vehicle and travel dates are not reserved until the deposit is paid.

6. Responsibilities

(a) User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and valid travel dates, number of people, luggage quantity, and itinerary requirements.
• Comply with Sri Lankan laws and regulations, respect the driver and local customs, and do not make illegal, non-compliant, or dangerous driving requests.
• Punctuality is fundamental to ensuring a quality experience for your tour. To ensure the driver gets adequate rest and driving safety, please try to adhere to the agreed-upon time. In case of unforeseen circumstances causing you to be late, please communicate with the driver promptly, and we will do our best to coordinate; however, if you are more than 30 minutes late and have not notified us at least 2 hours in advance, we may have to end the day's service at the originally scheduled time.
• If you require an extended tour time, we can negotiate separately, provided safety is guaranteed, and an additional fee will apply. Thank you for your understanding and support.

(b) Platform / Driver Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are legally compliant, in good condition, and driven by licensed drivers familiar with local routes.
• Provide services according to the agreed time and route. No unauthorized cancellation, price increase, or forced shopping stops.
• In case of vehicle breakdown during the trip, prioritize coordinating a replacement of the same class or an upgrade to ensure the trip proceeds smoothly.

7. Privacy & Information Use

User-submitted names, contact details, and itinerary information are used solely for service coordination and after-sales follow-up. They will not be disclosed to unrelated third parties. For specific usage rules, please refer to the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer

• The platform is not liable for compensation for itinerary delays or changes caused by force majeure factors such as weather, road control, political changes, epidemics, or natural disasters, but can assist in adjusting the itinerary.
• Losses caused by the user's own reasons (missing documents, personal emergencies, lateness, etc.) are borne by the user.
• Vehicle operation safety responsibility is borne by the vehicle owner and driver in accordance with the law. As an information service coordinator, the platform does not directly assume liability for traffic accidents during vehicle operation, but will assist users in communicating with the driver/insurance company for follow-up.
• Vehicle insurance covers operational liability only and does not include personal accidents or high-risk activities. We strongly recommend purchasing overseas travel insurance covering your trip period before departure, available through local Sri Lankan insurers such as SLIC General Insurance or insurers in your home country.

9. Dispute Resolution

Both parties shall first attempt to resolve disputes through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with a competent court in Sri Lanka.

10. Terms Updates

The platform reserves the right to update these terms from time to time. Updated terms take effect upon publication on this website. Your continued use of this website constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and LankaDu.

12. Severability

If any part of these terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining parts shall not be affected, and they shall remain binding on you and LankaDu.
